Monster Dough in Mount Dora, Now Open

Share Our Happy!!

So many exciting things are happening in our little Golden Triangle area. And no, not all the road construction. I’m talking about the newest sweet shop, Monster Dough in Mount Dora.

Monster Dough offers twelve flavors of edible cookie dough, which includes chocolate chip, sugar cookie, cookies & cream, birthday cake, kitchen sink, and many more which will rotate depending on the season.

Along with cookie dough, Monster Dough also has nitrogen rolled ice cream. With five signature flavors of strawberry cookies & cream, s’mores, chocolate lovers, birthday cake, and cereal bowl. No fear, you can create your own by choosing your base cream flavor, mix-ins, and toppings.

What We Tasted

We all chose to have a rolled ice cream and cookie dough combo.

Josephine had the birthday cake rolled ice cream with cookies & cream cookie dough.

Anna had the cereal bowl fruity pebbles with sugar cookie dough.

I had the s’mores rolled ice cream with chocolate chip cookie dough. Matt had vanilla Oreo rolled ice cream with chocolate chip cookie dough.

We want to thank everyone that came out this week for our “soft opening”! It was busier than we expected considering we hadn’t (and still haven’t) officially made an announcement that we are open! We are still working out the kinks, as any new business does in the beginning, BUT, we do want to explain what exactly MONSTER DOUGH is now that we are open ? What do we offer? We have rolled ice cream, edible cookie dough, cookie dough shakes and scooped ice cream. All of our edible cookie doughs are safe to eat and made in-house daily! We also make our ice cream base (for the rolled ice cream) in-house and fresh daily! Our regular scooped ice cream is from Blue Bunny! What is rolled ice cream? It is the liquid base of ice cream + mix-ins poured onto our cold plates. The mix immediately begins to turn the liquid into creamy ice cream. It is spread into a square on the plate and then rolled up in to 4-6 rolls. Then you can top it with whip cream and toppings! This process does take about 3 minutes per order since it’s made on the spot, so please be patient and enjoy watching our team make your ice cream ☺️ What should I order? We HIGHLY suggest ordering our rolled ice cream and edible cookie dough combo. It comes in the same cup and the combination of ice cream and cookie dough is MAGICAL ? You won’t regret it! Do you have dairy free, gluten free? We do have Blue Bunny Rainbow Sherbert scooped ice cream, but as of right now, nothing is gluten free. We will have options in the near future though! We are working on it! What kind of cookie dough shakes do you have? You get to pick if you want more cookie dough or more ice cream in your shake, and you can totally customize your shakey by picking whatever dough you want and whatever ice cream you want! Anymore questions? Let us know!

Monster Dough has many more sweet treats on their menu, such as traditional ice cream, shakes, cookie dough shakes, cookie dough in a waffle cone, and more.

They will also be rolling out more menu items in the near future. One we look forward to checking out, is their ice cream waffle tacos.

We sought out a nitrogen rolled ice cream place in Chicago, so we are happy to have one close to home. Have you had nitrogen rolled ice cream? What’s your favorite flavor? Let us know on Instagram.

You can find Monster Dough at:

What a refreshing treat for the summer!!! I’ve seen some videos on social media about the rolled ice cream and always though it was so cool. I’m gonna look to see if they have one here in South Florida. ?

We had seen videos too. Then my daughter found a place in Chicago a couple years ago. Now we have one so close! I bet there must be one down there somewhere!

Looks so yummy! I had Nitrogen ice cream at one place near me in South Florida and service was kind of slow, good to have options up north.

It can take some time when it’s made to order, that’s for sure. We are happy to have options for sure!
